Taiwan based AsusTek Computer Inc, a multinational electronics company based in Taipei, Taiwan, is introducing a new competitor to the Apple and Samsung triple-lens camera phones with its ASUS Zenfone 6. Innovations in the smartphone market are coming at a furious pace with innovations such as the foldable models from Samsung, Huawei, and Motorola with flexible screens, in addition to the triple-lens phones from Apple and Samsung. Not to be outdone ASUS has come out with the Zenfone 6 has two lenses, a 48-pixel flip-up main camera that can swivel to shoot multiple angles of shots and a second camera with a 13-megapixel ultrawide angle camera capable of taking photos with a larger field of view. Zenfone 6 is certainly worth considering at its starting price of about $500 compared to the Apple iPhone 11 Proor Samsung Galaxy S10, which sells for more than $1000. The base model Zenfone 6 has a 6.4-inch edge to edge display and has 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. At 9.1 millimeters of thickness and weighing 190 grams, it is a bit bulkier than the comparable iPhone or Samsung. The phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 mobile system and up to 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of storage in the upgraded models for about $100 more than the base model. With the speeds offered by the operating system and the large memory and storage, the Zenfone 6 can handle all the latest applications and gaming needs of just about any user. The phone has a quick charge high-capacity battery that can give up to 2 days of non-stop use, which means that you do not have to carry a charger with you every day. The phone has a sleek 3D curved design with a rugged Gorilla glass screen. The Zenfone 6 has dual audio speakers and low distortion smart amplifiers which deliver powerful low distortion sound. The included ZenEar Pro earbuds are specially tuned to provide premium sound quality. The real star of the Zenfone innovations is the rotating camera extends out from the top of the phone when in use and spins to face you for selfies or can rotate for free angle shooting. The phone is equipped with the Sony IMX586 sensor in its dual cameras, which give the phone exceptional mobile photographic quality. The HDR+ Enhanced Mode feature provides stunning daylight shots, which are detailed and combines short-exposure shots via its algorithms to keep highlights and shadows perfectly exposed. The Super Night Mode feature captures vivid low-light shots by combining multiple exposure values to bring out the details and colors in low light. The Flip Camera module gives you full control of the angle of your shots from 0 to 180 degrees through the camera’s interface. The Zenfone 6 is also has a motion tracking feature which tracks moving subjects in your action videos. Simply focus on the subject, and the flip camera will automatically track the subject through the use of its advanced electronic image stabilization feature. While the Zenfone 6 flip-up camera system is a revolutionary feature, the user should take care to treat the phone with care as it has not been on the market long term, and durability is somewhat unknown at this time. At its price point, the Zenfone 6 offers excellent quality which is certainly comparable to the much more expensive comparable offerings with some small differences in sharpness when shooting in night time situations, but the difference in the price is such that these small deficiencies are not significant for most users. There may be phones on the market that are better in some respects than the Zenfone 6, but the value and quality offered by the ASUS Zenfone 6 certainly make it a strong contender in the marketplace.
